Choose the first check
| Symptom | Start here | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot install | Read the installer error | Format, requirements, storage and existing copy |
| Crashes or stays blank | Restart and check the release | When the failure begins and whether it repeats |
| One video fails | Try another permitted video | Whether the same device and connection play other content |
| All video buffers | Compare another supported video app | Whether the connection affects both apps |
| TV controls fail | Use the remote alone | Focus, selection and Back on required screens |
This site has no live outage feed. These checks narrow a problem; they do not identify a confirmed Picasso outage.
If the app will not install
For “App not installed” or a parsing error, keep the message and check the format first. A saved webpage, interrupted download or incomplete split set can send you down the wrong path.
Use the installation-error guide for storage, Android requirements and update conflicts. Keep Play Protect enabled and stop if it reports harm. Return to the source check before trying another file.
If only one video fails
Try another video you are permitted to access, using the same device and connection. If that plays, investigate the first title before resetting the app. Its source may be unavailable, removed or restricted.
Record the title, error and time. Avoid clearing all storage for a failure limited to one title. An app update cannot guarantee that an unavailable source will return.
If playback buffers or keeps stopping
- Try a second permitted video to see whether the problem affects one title.
- Compare another supported video app on the same Wi-Fi. If both fail, check the connection or contact the network provider.
- Move closer to the router or try another trusted connection. Consider mobile-data charges before testing.
- If the player offers a quality control, try a lower resolution. The current Picasso player controls have not been tested here.
- Close and reopen the app, then check updates through its installation source.
Changing settings cannot establish access through a regional restriction or guarantee a subscription catalogue, sports event or resolution.
If the app crashes, stays blank or keeps loading
Restart the phone and check for a supported update. You can also force stop the app in Android settings, then reopen it. Note whether it fails at launch, while opening a category or when playback begins.
Clearing cache is a general Android troubleshooting step. Clearing storage or data can remove saved state, and uninstalling removes local app data. Read the data-action comparison before using either reset.
If the problem is on Android TV
Check whether the TV’s store offers the exact app to that device. Try moving focus, selecting and going Back with only the remote. An unreachable button or missing focus indicator needs a navigation fix; changing Wi-Fi will not address it.
No Picasso TV and remote combination has been tested by this site. Use the TV checklist to record the device and the actions that fail.
Prepare a useful support report
Include the device model, Android version, app version, package if known, installation source, exact error and time. Say whether another title or connection worked. Remove notifications and account details from screenshots.
For application support, use App support in the publisher listing. For an error in this guide, use the founder’s contact profiles. This site cannot reset another service’s account or restore a streaming source.
